manifesto

Beach Architects has a proven track record in the Byron Shire. Our bespoke designs are a key strength, but project management and delivery skills are equally important to us. Beach Architects takes care to manage all facets of your project, so that you will find the building experience satisfying. Your involvement in the project centers on practical discussions with us about tailoring the design to perfectly suit you; we sort out the rest.

Beach Architects regularly acts as a local co-ordinator for clients who live interstate or abroad, and have considerable experience communicating effectively with remote clients. We have established long-term relationships with our clients, and have worked on multiple projects for the same clients; in one case five projects over a 10-year period.

Beach Architects specialises in: private beach houses; medium density holiday developments; and coastal or hinterland estates that are havens from city life. We also specialise in assessing properties prior to purchase, to assist in determining their suitability to achieve your objectives. Matching your vision to a suitable property is vital to streamlining the project, and can have great economic benefits.

To create successful projects, Beach Architects uses innovative design thinking, the latest graphic techniques, and we prioritise the particular objectives of each client. Inspiration for construction materials and methods comes from the specific site context. Dune is a driftwood grey shipwreck beached behind the sand dunes, whereas Lighthouse is a concrete outlook, anchored tenaciously into the rock. Each of our projects is unique, so please take a look on this website at our work. This variety of design is something we are very proud of, and it demonstrates our methodology.

Beach Architects values are a commitment to contributing appropriate, memorable architecture to the beautiful Byron and Northern Rivers region, a region that has a culture of artistic diversity.

Beach Architects is local, and has developed strong, long-standing relationships with the Byron Shire Council and other local Councils, as well as with local consultants. Hence, we are able to provide our clients with clear, technical advice based on an understanding of the many relevant planning constraints.
